**The Raymond Chandler result was for the La Llorona novel. I threw in bits from my other novel and got Stephen King, threw in a different short story and got James Joyce. It’s fun to see what others come up!

Jenny writes dark fiction that her mother hates. Her stories and essays have appeared in Across the Margin, Pantheon, Shimmer, Black Denim Lit, Skive, and others. When she’s not writing her own stuff, she’s reading mysteries for Criminal Element. When she’s not writing fiction or reviews, she’s writing/directing/performing/designing plays at Springs Ensemble Theatre.

  1. That's how it went with me, too. Depending on what I entered, I got Palahniuk, King, Joyce, Nabokov or Brown. Brown was the most consistent, though.

  2. Yeah, I threw more stuff in and got: Palahniuk (1), King (4), J.K. Rowling (1), Chandler (2), and Joyce and Atwood 1 respectively. Interesting: Early stuff=King. Influence anyone?
